Rescue Remedy is made using the method developed by Dr Edward Bach, a Harley Street doctor, homeopath, bacteriologist and immunologist, over 70 years ago. The method follows three steps:
1 - Preparation of the vitalised water
The vitalised water is made at the Bach Centre in Mount Vernon and is obtained from flowers, plants or shrubs (with the exception of Rock Water) using heat from either the sun (sun method) or through boiling (boiling method).
2 - Preparation of the mother tincture
The vitalised water is then mixed with spring water and brandy to produce the mother tincture. The brandy is grape alcohol and is used to act as a natural preservative.
3 - Dilution of the mother tincture
The mother tincture is then diluted with 27% grape alcohol (the legal name for brandy at this strength) to produce the final product which is then bottled up at our factory in Wimbledon.
